Rower‑Inistioge GAA Club would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who supported the recent Eddie Keher Appreciation Night, a truly memorable and fitting celebration of a Kilkenny and GAA legend. All proceeds from the night will go towards the Eddie Keher statue, which is to be erected in his honour.
Firstly, thank you to all those who purchased tables or seats, and to those who were unable to attend on the night but showed their support in so many other ways. Your generosity and encouragement were vital to the success of the event.
A special word of thanks to Marty Morrissey, who expertly mc’d the night, and to our outstanding contributors:
Brian Cody, Tommy Walsh, Ned Quinn, Babs Keating, Noel Skehan, Pat Hartigan, Teddy O’Connor, Tony Doran, John Fogarty, Aidan “Taggy” Fogarty, Wally Walsh and Michael Fennelly. Your time, stories and insights added hugely to the event.
We are also very grateful to Miriam and Nancy Long for their fantastic music, and to George Phelan and Claire Bolger for their contribution to the evening.
Our thanks also go to the Eddie Keher Statue Committee, chaired by Jim Dunphy, for their dedication and hard work in progressing this important project.
A special thanks to Willo Deevy, BillyMurphy and Michael Lyng for the trojan work they put in behind the scenes. Their commitment and effort played a massive role in making the night such a fantastic success.
This event was a true reflection of the respect held for Eddie Keher and the strength of the GAA community. Thank you all for playing your part.

Finally and on a separate matter, a heartfelt thank you to Neil Fanning, Eddie’s son‑in‑law, whose tremendous work in drafting the plans was key to obtaining planning permission for the project.
