Congratulations to our U14 panel and management on a magnificient performance in this mornings Duggan Steel U14 A County Semi-Final in Thomastown against O'Loughlins. After hurling fantastically well in the first half, the panel would have been forgiven for feeling a little deflated after going in a point down at half time. Our boy's started quickly and were four points to one up after six minutes.  The lead was stretched to five points after twenty minutes, 0-7 to 0-2. However, O'Loughlin's scored 1-3 without reply in the eight minutes leading into half time to lead by one.
O'Loughlin's stretched the lead to 4 when they added the first three points of the second half. The match was level at 1-8 apiece when we goaled in the 48th minute. Hurling against a stiffening breeze, our boys closed out the game magnificiently scoring 2-4 without reply in the final 13 minutes of the match to run out winners on a scoreline of 3-12 to 1-09. We will meet Mooncoin in the County Final.
