The GAA Club Executive are pleased to advise that Membership for 2021 is now open with full details available on our Club App- ClubZap.
The past 12 months have been very challenging for our Club with many activities and games curtailed or cancelled. Thankfully activities are now starting back up for 2021 with our under age teams back to training, Inter county games commencing next weekend and on May 10th our Club adult teams can start back collective training with games for all teams planned to commence after June 7th. These activities are all subject to continued Government approval. We again appeal to all our members and supporters to continue to comply with all Regulations as set our under the Return to play documents.
This year we are asking all our members to pay their membership subscription through our on-line payment system available on ClubZap. There are many advantages of this system with immediate receipt generation, full traceability of payments, automatic uploading of membership data and major reduction in the administration work by Club officials. To pay your membership via ClubZap please click on the “my club” button on bottom right corner of the ClubZap app, click on Membership and include all details as requested.
The on-line payment system is an extremely secure and safe method of processing the payments and we encourage all our members to avail of this system. As with previous years we are encouraging our supporters to support our ongoing Club developments projects by subscribing to either of the Gold Membership packages on offer €150 for a Couple and €175 for a Family ( Parents and School going Children). Included in these packages and also in the €175 Membership for the adult player is a €100 development draw ticket. Thanks to the many people who supported the monthly development draw over the past 9 years- it has been a great success.
The proceeds from the Draw have been used exclusively for development projects in our Club and Community and among the many projects successfully completed include, the construction and complete repayment of all loans on Cois Abhann, the expansion and development of the GAA grounds in The Rower, the construction of a lighted walkway in The Rower, the purchase of extra land in Inistioge to expand and develop the ground there, and the construction of a public car park in Inistioge.
The next stage of our developments include the construction of an all-weather pitch with Ball wall and floodlights in The Rower, and the development of the building and site adjacent to Cois Abhann in Inistioge, we look forward to your continued support for these new developments.
Your membership is very important to The Rower-Inistioge GAA. Currently we have over 400 registered members of all ages with more people joining us each and every year.
The membership rates have been maintained at last year's reduced rate due to Covid but with year on year increases in costs, this isn't something we will be able to sustain going forward.
For registered members your membership entitles you have a vote at club meetings such as AGM's. You will also be included on our email list and be first to hear of any news or events. The Rower-Inistioge GAA will also fund any GAA training courses members wish to take also. Many of our members have completed these courses and gone on to coach our juvenile teams.
For players membership is compulsory, the club operate a strict no membership no play policy for insurance purposes. Players without membership are not covered by the GAA Injury Fund in the event of injury. It is also important to note that on receiving a player's membership fee that that player is not covered for three days until after it has been registered on the system.
Should there be any queries on Membership rates or packages, please contact any Club official.
