Congratulaions to Barrow Rangers who won a titantic battle with O'Loughlin Gaels in the first semi-final of our U13 Michael Meaney Memorial Tournament yesterday.
In spite of a low scoring game, it was high on quality with never more than a score separating the sides. The score at full time was 6 points apiece, and 8 points apiece after extra time.
As the game had to finish on the night, we ended up in the unenviable position where it was settled with a free taking competition. Barrow Rangers triumphed 5-4 on frees and will now face the winners of Rower Inistioge and Cushinstown.
Credit to both panels for a terrific game of hurling.
