Rower Inistioge GAA Club is seeking expressions of interest for the role of Healthy Club Officer.
The Healthy Club Officer DOESN'T have to:
- Be a devout GAA supporter/match goer.
- Or have qualifications in the area of fitness, nutrition, wellbeing etc.
The Healthy Club Officer SHOULD have:
- An interest in health and wellbeing.
- A willingness/interest in promoting physical, social, emotional, and psychological health in the community, not just the Club.
The Healthy Club project aims to help GAA clubs explore how they support the holistic health of their members and the communities they serve.
The Healthy Club Officer would have the opportunity to put their stamp on the role. Options such as putting a small committee of like minded people in place, can be considered.
There are various supports available at County and National level. Also, the Club is more than willing to make it's facilities available and commit some resources. We already have a floodlit walking track and soon will have a floodlit astro turf pitch.
This role is about promoting the health and wellbeing of our community.
If you are interested in the role or would like to discuss it further, please email Matt Galavan, Club Secretary mattgalavan@gmail.com
